Guillermo, I wouldn't know what to do without your videos!
First off, i would like to start by saying how much i appreciate the time and effort you have put in to making the math videos and the accessibility of the website. You were able to break down the concepts and teach calculus in such a simple manner it was very helpful and easy to retain. My actual teacher on the other hand wasn't even close. He knew the material well but wasn't able to teach the class, and sort of just did problems without explaining anything. We didn't even have a book for the class or any homework to turn in, everything was online! It was very frustrating, and if i wasn't able to watch your math videos online i can honestly say there is no way i could have ever learned most of the material in the course! The videos were taught so unbelievably well, switching colors in pens and explaining every concept and almost every step... YOU MADE CALCULUS EASY AND FUN!!! (well pretty easy). haha but i am a sophomore this year and out of every professor i've had at sdsu so far, you are by far the best, and my favorite! and it's sad to say i wasn't even enrolled in your class. Well have a great holiday Mr. Alvarez, thanks again for everything. YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER EVER!
I am not in your class (I'm not even in your state), but I really appreciate all of the handouts and most especially the videos... I am trying to reteach myself math and it's been sort of difficult but your videos in combination with your handouts make it possible for me. Thank you!!
Hey im from England and im learning integration by substitution right now and it is hard! Your videos along with my maths tutor are really helping me understand this and hopefully this will allow me to answer the questions correctly in the exam. Keep up the good work!
I just wanted to personally thank you. Your videos about limits and rational functions are really helping me in my Calculus class. Just by making these videos, you're making a difference in people's lives! (Helping me keep my class rank at #1 ;) )
